The General People's Congress Party has condemned the kidnapping of presidential office director Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak in central Sana'a.
An official source at the party said the move was a serious one targeting the state administration, stability and national unity in Yemen.
The source added that such a crime could lead the state into more complications.
Security agencies in Yemen need to take their responsibility and arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice, he concluded.
