Suspected Al Qaeda militants shot dead a Yemeni intelligence officer in the southern city of Aden Wednesday.
A number of unidentified gunmen opened fire at Col. Mohamed Mahdi al Zahrawi near his house and fled the scene, security sources said.
Al Qaeda organization in Yemen has been conducting assassinations of military and police officers in southern governorates.
