Yemeni and Kuwaiti charities are coming together here toreflect on a fresh approach to develop and upgrade the efficiency of leaders andstaff of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).The Yemeni Development Network and Kuwait Forum for Charitable Work co-organized here on Saturday a workshop, the second of its kind in the Yemeni capital,to determine the required criteria and skills of NGOs'''' administrative leaders.While opening the event, the coordinator of the Kuwaiti forum, Jamal Al-Nami, saidthe main concern of the forum is to serve and help people, whether they are workersor volunteers."This interest stems from our conviction that people need help and development.This help can be provided only by NGOs," he said.On his part, Dr. Dawoud Al-Hadabi, the advisor to the NGOs development project,said to be successful and effective, NGOs should seek to handpick highly efficient and qualified leading staff and to provide proper training to their workers."Nowadays, there is an overwhelming trend to heavily rely on professionalizationand training by means of focusing on the professional practical dimension and capitalizing on knowledge and skills in all realms," he said.
