Resistance troops have made a major advancement in al Jahmaliya area in Yemen.
The troops took control of a police station, where Houthi and Saleh militias had been centered, sources with the resistance said Monday.
They also seized buildings that had been controlled by the militias, the sources added.
Thirty militias and seven of the troops were killed in the face-off, said the sources in statements carried by the Yemeni news agency affiliated with the legitimate government.
Arab coalition jets also hit targets of the militias on the western coast of the city of Taiz, killing and injuring dozens of them.
Three women of the same family were, meanwhile, killed in a random shelling conducted by the Houthi militias in al Nassiriya district of Taiz. Three others were wounded.
