Cairo - MENA
The Yemeni resistance in Taiz hailed assistance provided by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in their fight against the Houthi militants to achieve victory over the past two days.
The Yemeni resistance achieved a remarkable victory in taking control of military sites from the Houthis who surrounded the city of Taiz for more than five months, read a statement by the Yemeni embassy in Cairo.
The statement noted that resistance groups are gearing up for the big day to push Houthis out the cultural capital of Yemen.
The operation would be launched under command of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, the statement said.
The statement praised the Saudi-led coalition to maintain the security of the Arab country.
Egypt joined the Saudi-led Arab coalition against Houthis in Yemen in March by sending its navy to Bab El-Mandab Strait.
