Yemen's President Abd Rabbou Mansour Hadi assigned on Saturday Riyad Yassin as acting foreign minister.
Yassin will represent Yemen at the Arab summit in Sharm el Sheikh on March 28-29 if Hadi could not attend it.
He thus replaces Abdallah Alsaidee of the resigned government.
