Jordanian Basma Najma, owner of “Chez Basma”

Jordanian Basma Najma, owner of “Chez Basma” uses white transparent glass to add her personal touch using special colors to create decoration pieces. She has been working in this field for 3 years, and selling her works in bazaars, art galleries, friends and social media.   She said during an interview with “Arab Today” that, glass represents happiness and way to get rid of negative energy by working on it, adding that, she started her artistic career in the collage gallery, and then drew a special paint to a relative.   She said that, during her participation in crafts’ week in Shokair House in Amman, she wanted to have her own brand, so she uses different sizes of glass, which are used as hangers, dates’ plates and some accessories on women bags.   Basma chose to have her own brand so that, her pieces are unique and have reference in case of any amendments, adding that workers in this field use social media to promote their works, because local media doesn’t pay much attention in highlighting such works.   She believes that, women are the queen of their houses and they exert efforts to make them beautiful by adding artistic pieces, adding that, her designs are affordable and can be used as gifts.
