Chinese shares closed mixed on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.05 percent, or 1.14 points, to finish at 2,097.75. The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.06 percent, or 4.70 points, to close at 7,455.74.
