Seoul shares open higher on telecom gains

South Korean stocks started a tad higher Monday on gains in telecommunication companies.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 0.55 points, or 0.3 percent, to 2,069.09 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
