South Korean stocks opened lower Friday as investors fretted over uncertainties surrounding the escalating confrontation between Russia and Ukraine.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) shed 9.22 points, or 0.44 percent, to 2,066.54 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
