Seoul - Yonhap
South Korean stocks ended flat Monday as concerns about gloomy economic data at home and abroad were offset by optimism about eurozone stimulus, analysts said. The local currency gained against the U.S. dollar.
Swinging between positive and negative territories, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 0.68 points, or 0.03 percent, to close at 2,067.86. Trading volume was slim at 216.2 million shares worth 3.17 trillion won (US$3.12 billion), with losers outpacing gainers, 496 to 314.
