Household loans by South Korean banks grew at the fastest pace in four months in October as home-backed lending climbed amid an increase in housing transactions, the central bank said Wednesday.
Outstanding household loans extended by local banks, including home-backed and credit loans, reached 474.4 trillion won (US$442.3 billion) as of end-October, up 2.5 trillion won from the previous month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).
