China attracted 8.38 billion US dollars in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in August, up 0.62% year on year, data from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce showed Tuesday. The increase was sharply down from a 24.13% jump in July and a 20.12% growth in June, according to China\'s (Xinhua) News Agency. In the first eight months, the country\'s FDI inflow totaled 79.77 billion US dollars, up 6.37% from the same period last year, the Chinese ministry said at a press conference.
