China\'s exports of electronics and information technology products rose 16.3% year on year to US$504.9 billion in the first eight months of this year, accounting for 35.3% of the country\'s total exports in the period, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The growth rate was 7.1 percentage points higher than the country\'s overall export growth. The country\'s imports of these products jumped 19.4% year on year to US$362.4 billion in the eight-month period. The country\'s foreign trade of electronics and IT products amounted to US$867.3 billion in total during the period, up 17.6% year on year and accounted for 32.1% of the country\'s total foreign trade in the period. The exports of computers decreased 5.7% year on year to US$141.7 billion in the first eight months. The exports of communication equipment saw faster growth of 21.9% year on year, reaching US$107.7 billion. Export value of electronics devices soared 117.4% to RMB 115.1 billion, while that of electronics components fell 19.2% to RMB 46.7 billion. The exports of home appliances grew 16.5% year on year to US$65.9 billion.
