Turkish Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yildirim announced that Eurasia groundway sub-sea tunnel would be opened in 2015. Yildirim said the tunnel, \"brother\" of the first ever submarine tunnel of Turkey to connect the Asian and European sides of the Bosphorus strait under the Marmara Sea, would be opened in 2015. \"The sub-sea tunnel\'s difference from Marmaray is, Marmaray\'s being two-way whereas the tunnel\'s having only one tube with one tunnel up and one tunnel down.\" \"Turkey is almost the only country that starts and ends its giant projects despite the economic crisis in the world,\" added Yildirim.
