German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble and the chief of the Bundesbank central bank Jens Weidmann both said Friday that the European Union (EU) should move forward with treaty changes they believe are necessary to create a banking union for the euro-zone.Schaeuble said at a joint news conference with Weidmann in Washington that Germany wants the treaty changes “as quickly as possible.”
