Iran is due to export agricultural machinery, including tractors to South Africa. Iran’s Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group, which is the largest producer of agricultural equipment in the Middle-East, Monday held talks with Board of Directorate of South Africa Economic Technical Strengthening Organization to export tractors to Pretoria in near future. A group from the South Africa’s organization had already paid a visit to the Iranian tractor manufacturing plants. The high quality and low price of the Iran-made tractors are two important factors for South African organization. The Iranian negotiating team arrived Pretoria on Sunday evening. Iran is a major tractor-manufacturer and exporter. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITM Co.) in the Northwestern city of Tabriz has exported many of its products to a large number of world countries, and launched assembly lines in various parts of the world, including South America. Bolivia has recently demanded ITM Co. to launch a tractor-manufacturing line there. ITM Co. has also built a tractor-manufacturing company in Venezuela called Veniran. Veniran is a joint venture company between Venezuela and Iran. Located in the provincial capital of Ciudad Bolivar, the plant manufactures tractors for peasants and socialist cooperatives across Latin America. Also, the Kurdistan branch of ITMIG, or Kurdistan Tractor-Manufacturing Company (KTMC) exported 200 tractors to Iraq and Afghanistan in October 2011.
