A Japanese business delegation met with the members of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) . According to Isa Bastaki, spokesperson for the BCCI the Japanese team represented a number of industrial and service sectors -- including logistics, oil and gas equipment, library services, manufacturing machines, construction, iron and steel, heavy machinery, truck parts sector and finance sector. The Acting Chief Executive of the BCCI, Othman Al Rayes, urged all business owners to attend the bilateral meetings to identify opportunities for cooperation with the Japanese delegation. The businessmen were also asked to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint economic cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries. Al Rayes said that such meetings provide an opportunity to identify potential areas of bilateral investment -- both the opportunities available in Bahrain and in Japan. The Japanese delegation, he said, was in Bahrain under the Japanese embassy programme. The embassy, he said, seeks ways to enhance trade, business and investment between Bahrain and Japan.
