The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed a loan agreement worth KD 3.6 million (USD 12.24) to contribute to the construction of a major hospital.
Signing the deal on behalf of the government of Rwanda was Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Claver Gatete and the KFAED's Director General Abdulwahab Al-Bader.
The project aims to support social development in the southern Nyaruhengeri district of the nation, through responding to and improving the standards of ever-increasing healthcare demands.
The loan is the ninth provided to the land-locked Central African nation, after loans worth a total KD 21.5 million (USD 73 million), along with a technical assistance grant worth KD 93,000 (USD 340,000).
