Beirut - KUNA
Relief supplies granted by Kuwait have been distributed to 1,000 Syrian families taking up refuge in Lebanon, according to a local philanthropic association. The materials included food, mattresses and some items used in winter season, said Abdullah Al-Bosh, the public relations director of the Lebanese Zakat and Charities House, in remarks to KUNA, late on Thursday. The supplies, given to the Syrians in the northern city of Tripoli, were provided by the Kuwaiti International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO). Al-Bosh praised Kuwait, namely the charitable organizations, for aiding hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, where 800,000 Syrian refugees have settled, some in squalor conditions.
