Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 10.2 percent to 271 billion soms (5.59 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of the year over the same period last year.
The National Statistical Committee said, excluding development of the Kumtor gold deposit, GDP grew 5.9 percent to 253 billion soms (5.2 billion dollars).
The January-October period was marked by the growth in the industrial sector, agriculture, construction, hotel and restaurant services, transport and communications, health and social services and housing.
The mining industry, however, recorded a decline of 6.8 percent and production and distribution of electricity fell 2.9 percent.
