The price of exchange rate of the US dollar did not reach nine pounds in the black market, said head of the Foreign Exchange Section at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FECC). The price of the USD reached today to 7.70 pounds in the black market due to instability and chaos that prevailed all transactions and speculations in the market, he told MENA on Thursday. He stressed that such rumors aim at achieving personal gains for some figures. The black market for dollars has been thriving since the Egyptian pound slumped against the US dollar, which left little foreign currency for exchange.
