The value of overall debts issued by the South Korean government and local companies topped the 1,500 trillion won (US$1,400 billion) mark as of the end of October, hitting its highest month-end figure ever, data showed Tuesday.
According to the data by the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Financial Investment Association, the outstanding debts from bond issuance by the government and local companies reached 1,514.84 trillion won as of the end of October
