US National Security Advisor Susan Rice has met here with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud. Talks during the meeting dealt with means of supporting Somalia\'s efforts aimed at strengthening its democratic institutions and promoting economic development. The two sides stressed their two countries\' commitment to combat terrorism and strengthen security in all parts of Somalia. The United States also confirmed that it will continue to work with the Government of Somalia to promote security and development and to help create lasting peace and prosperity for all Somalis.
