Zakat Fund of the Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ministry, has allocated QRs. 3 million for its Eid project which would benefit 1580 families in Qatar. A press release the Zakat Fund issued here today said that this amount is a part of the seasonal expenses being regularly paid to the families sponsored by the Fund. Zakat Fund provides several seasonal assistance to the needy families.These assistances include Eid Al-Fitr gift, Winter clothes, summer clothes, Ramadan Basket and others. The fund, as well, provides assistance in other areas like medical treatment assistance, debtors assistance, and urgent assistance for the needy families.
