An Australian brewing company has created the world's first beer that could be drunk in space. Microbrewer 4 Pines Brewing Company developed the beer in conjunction with Queensland University of Technology's zero gravity drop tower. Space engineer and co-creator of the beer Jason Held said QUT's drop tower, the only one in the southern hemisphere, had played a key role in getting the recipe and fizz right. "We tested three recipes and were able to observe them side by side," the Herald Sun quoted Dr Held as saying. "We could see how each behaved and used some of that data to select the right one," he added.
