The Health Ministry, represented by the Directorate General of Medical Supplies (DGMS), opened today at Al Bustan Palace Hotel the two-day conference on Pharmacoepidemiology themed ''Drug Safety and Quality'', under the patronage of Ali bin Khalfan al-Qutaiti, member of Majlis A'Shura, head of the Health committee. The conference aims at boosting patient-oriented skills and knowledge necessary for pharmacists. A number of specialists from globally recognized organizations like The American Society of Medication Safety Officers (ASMSO), The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Britain and local experts, are contributing to the conference to provide the participants with new developments in the Drug Safety and Quality field, through discussions of 7 local and international working papers in three sessions to be held in the first day. Al Qutaiti honoured several officials from DGMS and a number of presenters.
