Israeli aircraft on Tuesday bombed two Palestinian intelligence bases in the Gaza Strip, without causing any casualties. The Al Safyna site in the northern Gaza Strip and the Badr site south of Gaza, were attacked by Israeli F-16 jets early Tuesday, according to eyewitnesses. Al Safyna was attacked with three missiles, causing serious damage to the site, while residents in Gaza could hear the explosions. In the Strip, eyewitnesses said that Israeli warplanes bombed Badr, a based of the Ezzeldine al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood in the southern Gaza Strip. A missile shot by Israel set the site on fire. Ambulance and emergency services spokesperson Dr Ashraf Al- Khadra confirmed that the Israeli bombardment did not result in any casualties among citizens. Civil defence forces and ambulances immediately rushed to the site while Israeli aircraft flew nearby over the Strip. The latest bombing caused a state of fear and terror among the citizens, especially women and children. Israeli military commanders threatened to launch an attack on Gaza after missiles launched from the Strip fell on towns south of Israel. Eyewitnesses in the central governorate said a number of military vehicles and bulldozers came out of the Kissufim military site for hundreds of metres east of the Bureij refugee camp, and began bulldozing structures in the citizens’ land, under the cover of Israeli warplanes.
