The French Foreign Minister’s personal representative, Jean Félix-Paganon arrived in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott on Thursday. He was accompanied by members from the French Presidency and Foreign Ministry to meet President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, to discuss the Malian crisis. After meeting the Mauritanian president, the French official declared confirming talks held between both sides concentrated on the Malian situation. Jean Félix said: "They have agreed on the size of terrorism risk threatening northern Mali, and the importance of confronting it, and the importance of developing political talks allowing all political powers in north Mali which are away from terrorists to participate in the reunion in the Malian state.” The meeting witnessed the presence of the Mauritanian FM Hamadi Ould Hamadi, Director of the Presidential Cabinet Aslko Ould Ahmed azide Bay and Abdoulaye Idrissa. The French Ambassador in Mauritania, Arvi Pesansont was also present. The Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Hamadi Ould Hamadi also received The High Commissioner for Refugees, Mrs. Nada Marahab.
