An official in Sudan's North Darfur state on Tuesday survived an assassination attempt when unidentified gunmen attacked his motorcade, while two people were killed and three others injured in a separate attack in the state, Sudan's Ashrouq net reported. Ahmed Adam, commissioner of Kutum area in North Darfur state has survived an assassination attempt when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his motorcade, according to the report. Gunmen also attacked a vehicle belonging to Kutum legislative council, leaving two people dead and three others injured, the report added. In August, Kutum witnessed a similar incident when an unidentified armed group attacked the vehicle of a Sudanese official and killed him.
