Anthony Davis and Terrence Jones each had double-doubles Friday in helping No. 1-ranked Kentucky tough out a 60-51 SEC Tournament win over Louisiana State. LSU (18-14) never let the Wildcats take true control of the game but Kentucky (31-1) still came through with its 23rd consecutive win. No. 19 Florida and Alabama battled later Friday for the right to meet Kentucky in Saturday's SEC semifinals. Also on tap in SEC quarterfinal play was Tennessee versus Mississippi and Vanderbilt against Georgia. Jones had a 5-0 run that put Kentucky up 39-35 with 12:10 to go and the Wildcats managed to go up by as many as nine but LSU was unable to get much closer because of shooting problems. LSU didn't manage a basket after Andre Stringer's jump shot with 4:31 to go. Davis had 12 points, 14 rebounds and six blocked shots. Jones finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was one rebound short of a double-double and had a game-high 19 points. Louisiana State, which shot a woeful 29.4 percent (20-of-68) had four players reach double figures, including Storm Warren, who scored 14 points.
