World No. 2 Rory McIlroy rallied for a 3 & 1 win over third-ranked Lee Westwood Sunday in a semifinal match of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. With the comeback victory, McIlroy will face Hunter Mahan in the Match Play finals later in the day. Should McIlroy defeat the American, he will become the world's top-ranked player. Mahan reached the championship round by eliminating Mark Wilson 2 & 1 in Sunday morning's other semifinal. McIlroy overcame a three-hole deficit after four holes, winning four of the next five to charge back into a 1-up lead. He moved 3-up at with a birdie at 13, taking advantage of an errant Westwood tee shot. The latter drained a 20-foot eagle putt at the par-four 15th, but later stumbled on No. 17 and conceded the stirring comeback win to McIlroy.
