Ryan Miller stayed busy with 43 saves Wednesday, picking up his fourth shutout of the season and carrying Buffalo to a 2-0 victory over Anaheim. It was Miller's 26th shutout in a nine-year career, all of it spent with the Sabres. He needs one more blanking to equal his single-season high of five, which he achieved in each of the last three seasons. Buffalo climbed within five points of Washington for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Sabres must climb past Tampa Bay, Toronto and Winnipeg before they get to Washington. Derek Roy scored on the power play 7:12 into the game and Brad Boyes accounted for the other goal on a slap shot that beat Jonas Hiller 8:16 into the second. Hiller gave up the two goals on 24 shots. Buffalo is 1-1 on a five-game road trip.
