Norway took the top two spots in front of their homeland fans Sunday in the men's World Cup super G at Kvitfjell. Kjetill Jansrud got his first win in nine podiums and veteran Aksel Lund Svindal took second ahead of Swiss contender Beat Feuz. Jansrud, who second in Saturday's downhill and third in the super G Friday, completed the course in 1 minute, 32.04 seconds. Svindal, the leader in the super G season standings, crossed the finish line in 1:34.23. "I told myself that I had already done great in both previous races and that I had nothing to lose on Sunday in charging as hard as possible," said Jansrud. "I took the straightest possible line today and cut the turns as much as possible." "I could not dream of a better place to celebrate my maiden World Cup victory, on home soil in front of some of my fans and with another Norwegian besides me," Jansrud added. "This is really exciting." Austrians Klaus Kroell and Max Franz took fourth and fifth place. Andrew Weibrecht of the United States finished 23rd, which was good enough to qualify for this month's World Cup Finals in Austria.
