Slovakian cyclist Peter Sagan, 21, won the sixth stage of the Tour of Spain Thursday in a lightning group attack by his Liquigas team at the end of a 193-kilometre ride from Ubeda to Cordoba. French rider Sylvain Chavanel of the Quick Step team retained the overall leader's red jersey. Spaniard Daniel Moreno stayed in second place overall while last year's winner, Italian Vincenzo Nibali, jumped into third. Liquigas took three of the top four places in Thursday's stage after breaking ahead as they entered the southern city following a downhill chase where riders reached nearly 90 kilometres an hour. In a grouped sprint over the line, Spaniard Pablo Lastras of Movistar finished second with Valerio Agnoli of Liquigas in third and his team mate Nibali fourth. Friday's seventh stage sees the race shift to the hills of central Spain with a 183-kilometre ride from Almaden to Talavera de la Reina.
