Indonesian athletes who will compete in the 26th Sea Games and the ASEAN Para Games 2011 have to show their best achievement, Vice President Boediono said here on Friday."Let us show our best in the sports achievement," the vice president said in his address at the commemoration of the 28th National Sports Day (Haornas) 2011 in the Jakarta main sports stadium on Friday.The Sea Games 2011 will be held in Jakarta and Palembang, South Sumatra from November 11 through 22, 2011, while the ASEAN Para Games will take place in Surakarta, Central Java.On the occasion, the vice president expressed hope that Indonesia can become a good host to perform the Sea Games and the ASEAN Para Games.Meanwhile, at the Haornas commemoration, the Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Andi Mallarangeng handed the komodo dragons puppets as the SEA Games mascot named "Modo" and "Modi" to the Vice President and Mrs. Herawati Boediono.A total of 542 gold medals will be contested in 44 sport games. In Palembang, the Sea Games will be held at the Jaka Baring sports complex. Half of the 44 sport games will be conducted in Palembang.In addition, the opening and closing ceremony of the Sea Games were scheduled to be held in Palembang`s Jaka Baring sport stadium.Previously, Indonesia hosted the 10th Sea Games in 1979, the 15th Sea Games in 1987 and the 19th Sea Games in 1997.
