No. 1-seed Yanina Wickmayer lost just two games Tuesday in posting a second-round win at the Moorilla Hobart International tennis tournament in Australia. Wickmayer eliminated Casey Dellacqua 6-1, 6-1 in an efficient 61 minutes. Wickmayer won 70 percent of the points on serve and nearly two-thirds overall. Angelique Kerber, the No. 4-seed, also claimed a quarterfinals berth, beating Sara Errani 6-1, 6-2. Like Wickmayer, Kerber had five service breaks in seven receiving games. Simona Halep ousted eighth-seeded Irina-Camelia Begu 6-4, 6-2. Halep took two-thirds of the points on serve and won four of the six break points she faced. Also in the second round, Anna Chakvetadze defeated Tsvetana Pironkova 6-3, 6-2 and Sorana Cirstea topped Bethanie Mattek-Sands 2-6, 6-3, 7-5. The first round wrapped up Tuesday with No. 6-seeded Shahar Peer beating Lucie Hradecka 6-3, 6-1 and Sacha Jones defeating Kristina Barrois 6-1, 6-4.
