Rob Wilson popped in 30 points Friday in firing No. 12 Wisconsin to a 79-71 Big Ten Tournament win over 15th-ranked Indiana. The Badgers (24-8) advance to the tournament semifinals Saturday against No. 8 Michigan State (25-7). The Spartans defeated Iowa 92-75 earlier Friday. Friday's second set of Big Ten quarterfinals had 13th-ranked Michigan playing Minnesota and No. 7 Ohio State meeting Purdue. Wilson, who entered the game averaging 3.1 points a game, connected on 11-of-16 shots from the floor and hit 7-of-10 from 3-point range. Wilson and Jared Berggren, who finished with 16 points, scored 11 consecutive points for Wisconsin to give the Badgers a 72-65 lead with 38 seconds to go. Indiana (25-8) got 17 points each from Jordan Hulls, Christian Watford and Cody Zeller. Michigan State shot a red-hot 70 percent (21-of-30) in the first half against Iowa (17-16). That enabled to Spartans to break open a 22-22 game with a 9-0. Michigan State stretched the run 19-4 in taking a 41-26 lead. Draymond Green, who led all scorers with 21 points, hit 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) and actually hurt the Michigan State shooting percentage. The Spartans connected on 32-of-55 for the game for 58.2 percent. Adreian Payne chipped in 16 for Michigan State while Keith Appling added 12 and Brandon Wood 10. Those three were a combined 14-of-18 (77.8 percent) shooting. Iowa got 20 points from Josh Oglesby with Hawkeyes Zach McCade (13), and Roy Devyn Marble (12) and Mat Gatens (10) also reaching double figures.
