Maliki called for: \"pre-emptive strikes to nests of terrorism and activate intelligence effort to prevent these groups from carrying out their criminal plots.\" Al Qaeda had claimed the responsibility of the bombings and suicide attacks by car bombs and explosive belts that occurred in Baghdad and several provinces during the past period.
