The spokesman for the Italian-based Catholic organization, Sant\'Egidio, Mario Marazziti praised Iran\'s peaceful religious coexistence as a role model for the Middle East.Talking to IRNA in Berlin, Marazziti said Iran was a \'good example\' for the peaceful
coexistence of religions in the Mideast.
He stressed Iran was a \'main actor\' in a bid to promote peace in the Middle East.
\'What the community of Sant\' Egidio thinks of Shia and Iranian culture ... is that it is a
decisive partner ... Iran is a great country, a great culture, it is a great religious
experience,\' said Marazziti.
\'I think Iran is a great country and we will find a way to build more bridges,\' he
reiterated.
Sant\' Egidio has been playing a leading role in Europe in promoting religious dialogue
with the Muslim world.
It organizes major international conferences and seminars in an effort to highlight the
need for deepening religious dialogue.
