Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabil El Araby expressed Monday his concern at the rising violence in Libya. He stressed in particular on the increased targeting of the state’s buildings by armed groups. El Araby described those attacks as an attempt to destabilize the country. El Araby also condemned, in a statement he released to the press today, the increasing attacks on Libyan officials, as well as army and police personnel. He called on all political groups involved in Libya to come together and have a dialogue about the country’s urgent issues and achieve a national reconciliation, in order to face these challenges and maintain the goals of the February revolution.
