Egyptian poet Abdul Rahman Abnoudi has told Arabstoday that his condition is now stable after suffering from a severe bout of leprosy. Abnoudi said: “Praise be to God...after condcuting the necessary tests, I discovered that the leprosy I had was not like the normal strain...it is a disease that infects the skin with allergy-like symptoms and inflammation.” Abnoudi added that his disease was not contagious and he was undergoing intensive treatment so that he could cast his vote in Egypt's presidential election.
