Egyptian superstar Adel Emam has angrily denied rumours that he turned to security guards to protect the filming location of his new movie The Fortune Teller. It had been reported that Emam feared an attack due to the currently tumultuous state of the streets of Egypt. Adel rejected the rumours to Arabstoday, claiming that he doesn’t even use security guards in his everyday life, so he certainly wouldn’t for a movie. However, the star admitted that he has been forced to appoint guards to protect his villa from the attempts of adoring fans, who claw at and attempt to climb its walls to get to Adel inside. Responding to the rumours surrounding filming of The Fortune Teller, he said “I don’t know what the people who start such silly rumors want from me.” Adding that promoting that kind of thinking is just aimed at terrorizing the Egyptian people, he declared “what we need to overcome the current crisis is a more credible media.” A star-studded cast is set to feature in Adel’s upcoming movie, including Egyptian heavyweights Hussien Fahmy, Sherine, and Sherif Ramzy.
