Egyptian actress Samira Ahmed has disclosed that she is no longer working with Turkish actors, after political tension between the two countries following the ouster of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi. Ahmed said that although she had agreed to cast a number of Turkish actors in her drama Qalb Umm (A Mother's Heart), the shift in Turkey's political stance towards Egypt means she would boycott the Turkish showbiz industry. The actress blasted Turkey for turning its back on the people of Egypt, adding that only Egypt's bravest allies have stood the test of time.
