Egyptian actress Laila Alawi says she is concerned about the frustration on Egyptian streets, adding people are "anxious" about the future. Speaking to Arabstoday, Alawi said the lack of authority and vision from the government is the main reason behind the country's current plight. "We need to forget about the past, but every new day brings uncertainty and mixed emotions for people in Egypt. I am hoping that events will take a positive turn in the future," Alawi said. The actress also revealed that she is yet to make a decision of her next drama project. Last Ramadan, Alawi starred in Napoleon And The Guarded, alongside Sameh Seraiti, Sharif Salama, Arwa Gooda, and Farah Yusuf. The drama series was written by Azza Shalabi and directed by Tunisia's Shawqi Mejri.
