Christopher Lee, metal singer, has returned.
The Lord of the Rings actor released a new album earlier this week to coincide with his 92nd birthday. The record is titled Metal Knight, and features seven songs inspired by Don Quixote.
"As far as I'm concerned, Don Quixote is the most metal fictional character that I know," the star tells Sky News. "Single-handed, he is trying to change the world, regardless of any personal consequences. It is a wonderful character to sing."
Lee's deep and resonant voice is one of his defining characteristics as a performer. He is a classically trained singer, and developed an interest in metal music in the early 2000s. He released his first metal album, Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross in 2010, and followed up with Charlemagne: The Omens of Death in 2013.
