Hani Shaker falsifies duet with Fairouz rumours

Egyptian singer Hani Shaker revealed to Arabstoday that he never pretended there was a duet between him and Lebanese icon Fairouz. He clarified that the media twisted an old statement he made, in which he said that it is his wish to meet or sing with the Lebanese singer. Shaker stressed that it was very unlike him to say something untrue for the sake of propaganda. He added that he is a great fan of Fairouz and many old Arab artists, who he has grown up listening to. Shaker appealed to the media to be more careful with news they publish.
