Prominent Syrian-born producer, director and actor Jamal Suliman, has presented his written resignation from the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces. The notice was handed on Wednesday to the group's leader Ahmed Moaz Al Khatib. Suliman left the group - which he joined in May - as his "beliefs clashed" with that of the groups. Jamal Suliman belongs to the Syrian Alawites and is one of the most well known artists to have entered politics and join the opposition. He currently lives in Cairo, where he is finalising the shoot for a new Egyptian series.
