
Famous singer Natacha Atlas will perform on May 13 at a concert to be hosted by Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh. The event is co-sponsored by theTourism Ministry, the Tourism Promotion Authority and the Arabic Heritage Center. It is to be organized in the light of the world's celebrations of the International Day of the African Continent as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will mark the 50th anniversary of establishing the Organization of African Unity which later became the African Union. Rasha el-Azayzy, the spokeswoman for the Tourism Ministry said that the ministry and the Tourism Promotion Authority pay great attention to tourist events that help in promoting the prominent tourist destinations in Egypt. A galaxy of senior statesmen, ambassadors as well as Arab and Egyptian artists and public figures will attend the concert which gets an extensive media coverage in support of Egyptian tourism.
