Egyptian actor Sabri Fawaz is confident that the arts in Egypt will not be restricted by the new government, whether the next president is Ahmed Shafiq, who belongs to former regime, or Mohammed Morsi, from the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party. Fawaz added: "We will perform art and no power will be able to take our freedom away, which we gained in the January 25 revolution.” Fawaz stressed in a statement to Arabstoday that he will not go to the ballot boxes at the run-off because he won’t vote for either Morsi or Shafiq, "because neither of them represent the revolution".
